Petr Dvořák's path into hiking education wasn't a straight
line. It started in 2010 when he volunteered as a trail guide
for Krkonoše National Park while finishing his degree in
Environmental Education at Charles University in Prague. That
volunteer work turned into something bigger—a genuine passion
for making Czech landscapes accessible to everyone, regardless
of hiking experience.
What started as weekend trail work evolved into a specialized
career. Over fourteen years, Petr progressed from leading
group hikes to designing certified beginner routes. He's
worked extensively with local hiking organizations and the
Czech Tourism Board to develop accessible paths in three major
regions. His breakthrough came in 2016 when he created the
'Easy Explorer' framework—a methodology for evaluating and
categorizing beginner trails based on terrain difficulty,
safety features, and real-world accessibility. That framework
now guides route development across the country.
Today at dfwsoccer s.r.o., Petr leads the creation of
educational content focused on safe, engaging hiking
experiences. He's not interested in elite mountaineering or
extreme routes. His mission is straightforward: help people
discover the natural beauty of Czech landscapes through
well-designed, beginner-friendly trails. He approaches hiking
education holistically, combining practical trail knowledge
with gear guidance and environmental awareness, ensuring his
readers not only enjoy the outdoors but do so safely and
responsibly.
